Can anyone give First Date advice?

I'm going on my first date ever on Saturday. I was just wandering what are the no go zones in chat and what I should chat about.


Me and the guy have been IMing a bit and talk quite a lot. He's admitted to being shy and so have I. But he was very forward in saying he wanted to kiss on the date. How do I avoid embarrassment buy missing the hint that he's going to do it or something?
