I'm a first time mother and i'm having twins. I'm scheduled to go in for my c-section tomorrow and i'm really nervous. This pregnancy was an unplanned pregnancy, and I haven't had much time to take any classes or read any books about being a first time mom due to working. So, I came on here to see if I could get any valuable advice from any mothers out there.Tomorrow is my pregnancy due date, is there any advice you could give to this 1st time mom?
accept any help that is offered to you, sleep when the babies sleep, nothing keeps better then a dirty house, cry if you have to, if you feel like your going crazy call in some help! it might seem impossible in the beginning but you'll be surprised how quickly it becomes routine. enjoy them while they are babies!!! they grow up SO very fast.Tomorrow is my pregnancy due date, is there any advice you could give to this 1st time mom?
I had an emergency c-section and was knocked out with general anesthesia... so, I can't give much advice on the procedure (except stay calm). However, make sure that you get up and walk around as soon as they let you because the longer you are on your back after a c-section, the worse it is to start moving. I wasn't able to get up and walk for over a week and the pain was excruciating when I finally had to start. A friend of mine has confirmed that if you are able to move sooner, it's not too bad and the discomfort goes pretty quickly. Holding a pillow firmly over your incision when you sneeze, cough, or sit up is a must! You will realize just how much you use your abdominal muscles; however, the discomfort goes quickly. Good luck!
I hope everything goes great for you i really do its difficult with twins because theres always that chance you could loose one but i think if you pray everything will go great be prepared for the pain going into it and just make sure you do everything the doctors want you to do if your contractions get to bad water is a great relaxation. I am about to have my first to but i watch alot of tv. Lol good luck :)
Hi, I'm not sure what you know already or what you don't know. Take a look at my website http://twinstips.com where you will find plenty of twin related information - I have two sets of twins.
Best wishes for tomorrow x
Well I was a first time mom to a single baby but I had a c-section that was planned and this is just my personal story of success. I'm a Christian and I pray and I done more praying than I done of anything else lol. I just got up that morning and got dressed like any normal day and we went to the hospital. I just went in, I wasn't even thinking about the fact that I was meeting my baby that day because at that moment I was trying to focus on myself and my nerves anyways..I took it one step at a time. When I got undressed and into a hospital gown I was like well okay that part is done...and then so on and so on. It came time for my epidural and I was getting nervous because besides my i.v I was expecting this to be the worse part but it wasn't..so when I got through that I was like well that part is done now and then my nurse said well you are all done we are just waiting for the go ahead for your surgery. They were wheeling me down the hall to the O.R and I was like hey my heart is not jumping out of my chest and why??? lol anyways, I know this is dragging on and I guess I could have shortened it but talk yourself through it..and secretly praise yourself for making it through something even if it is just changing from your normal clothes to a hospital gown. Hope this wasn't too boring.
